Eid Mubarak

December 7, 2008 - الأحد 10 ذو الحجة 1429 by Anwar alAwlaki
Filed under Imam Anwar's Blog

Assalamu alaykum dear brothers and sisters,

Allahu akbar Allahu akbar Allahu akbar, la illaha illallah, Allahu akbar Allahu akbar wa lilllahil hamd.
We ask Allah to bless us during these special days and to accept our good deeds.
Rasulullah says about these days:”They are days of eating and drinking and remembrance of Allah.” Therefore one should enjoy the halal blessings of Allah during these days and increase their remembrance of Allah. Yes, the halal is to be enjoyed and we are rewarded for this enjoyment. This is a meaning that is sometimes forgotten. But after we enjoy these blessings we need to thank Allah for them. The slaughtering on eid of animals and feeding on what is a gift from Allah demands our gratitude.
So we should remember Allah, praise Him and seek His forgiveness during these moments.
We should also make dua for the Muslims who are struggling in Allah’s cause, our brothers who are behind bars and the less fortunate who are struggling with poverty around the world.

Eid mubarak to all of you.

    ————————————–
To my brothers and sisters in Islam and to our dear Sheikh Imam Anwar, Eid Mubarak!
    -
May Allah accept our services we have done for Islam and Forgive us our sins and anything We may have done that transgressed our duty.
    -

As Allah Azza Wa Jall Commanded us:
    -
“O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right; they will say, “Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent.”

    [Surah At-Tahreem, Ayah 8]

    ————————————–
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established. Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts any resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful. Our Lord, make us not objects of torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. Our Lord, grant the Mujahideen victory over your enemies. Our Lord Pour out on us patience and constancy. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.
    -
Praise to Allah, who has removed from us all sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative.

Peace and Blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala be on our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa salam.

Greetings of Eid from Muslims in Africa.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, for those seek new Lectures from Brother Anwar, from my own opinion I encourage to listen to “25 promises of Allah to the believers” – this lecture applies all time, its a single lecture but very powerful message, cover many espects including those who are behind bars, those who suffer the under oppresion, poverty… I suggest to listen and write the point one by one to understand better Inshallah.

I did listen live on TV the Sermon delivered before Dhur prayer in Saudi today,Sheikh gave great Naseeha, words of wisdom “the benefits of the Haj” but I did not understand when he said we should not praise some scholars because some scholars can mislead the Ummah, he condermed terrorism but at the same Sermon he praised so and so King and Prince of Saudi!
    May Allah guide us.

    Asalam Aleikhum Dear Muslims.
It is very important to understand what is “Conspiracy theory” – this has been a work of Kufar against Muslims.
Brother Anwar, I know those posses the high knowledge of the Qur’an, live strictly accoding to the Sunnah and Muslims mandated themselves by Al Wala Wa Bara can unveil easly the “conspiracies” – please share with us this knowledge like you have unveiled the work of Rand Institutions.
“Conspiracy theory” has been used against Islam (and Muslims Ahl Haq) in Iraq,Somalia,India,Pakistan,Palestine,Afghanistan and even in the West, and this is the main stick the enemy of Islam used with combination of the Media organization to paint Muslims bad colour and put our brothers in prison for crime they never commited.

EID MUBARAK to you, your family and all the Muslims!!!

BISMILLAHi RAHMANi RAHIM, ALHAMDULILAH RABBi ALAMIN, WASALAT WASALAM RASOOLULLAH.

May ALLAH Accept your efforts, those of your family, and those of every Muslim.

May ALLAH Increase your knowledge, Grant you the Best Rizq, and Accept your deeds flowing with the Best of Intentions.

May ALLAH Increase your Remembrance of Him, Gratitude to Him, and Perfection of everything intended for His Sake.

May ALLAH Pour HIS RAHMA, HIS Beautiful Mercy that we are so much in need of, on you and all the Muslims – deceased, alive, and yet to come.

May ALLAH Bless you and those whom you love and those whom love you with every RIZQ that leads and keeps us swimming in HIS MERCY, on this day, and every day to come. And for HIM to manage each and every single affair of the Muslims perfectly in the Best Way – with HIS Divine HIKMAH.

May ALLAH Remove everything which displeases Him from your heart, mind, character, and deeds.
And to eradicate every weakness and disease that the human soul is susceptible to – only to be drenched in the rays of IMAN with IHSAN, NUR within NUR upon NUR, TAQWA with BIRR, STRENGTH with HUMILITY – and anything else Good which surpasses human expression.

May ALLAH Grant you the Best of what every Muslim asks for, Perfect following of the Sunnah, to Love Jihad fe SabiliLAH more than the love of every kafir born had of DUNYA put togther – but totally and completely as per plan – with HIKMAH – STRENGTH – AND SABR UPON SABR UPON SABR,and to Persevere and perhaps lead the True JAMAAH.

And May ALLAH Apply each Dua Accepted – the same for every Muslim whom you, the Sahabah or RASOOLULLAH loved – and also for those who loved them. And to Grant us all wealth, knowledge, life to spend to Seek the Face of ALLAH – and to Grant us Shahadah.

And May ALLAH make you from the best of the best of SHUHADAH.

    Amin. YA RABBIL ALAMIN!

    WASALAT WASALAM RASOOLULLAH,
    ALHAMDULILLAHI RABBI ALAMIN!

    * * *

    ALHAMDULILAH, WASALAT WASALAM RASOOLULLAH.

    Dear Sheikh,

It has come to my attention that the knowledge you have taught, has been bluntly very beneficial for many Muslims.

ALHAMDULILAH, it is thus why i strongly think that your lectures should be: transcribed and translated – both orally and in written form in whatever language the Ummah of Islam speaks or uses.

There are a few points regarding the above suggestion.

The Muslims of this Ummah are in dire need of comprehensive and deep understanding of True Knowledge of Islam. But our resources have a limit. Therefore we should try maximize every resource we can. And this principle of optimizing can be found in Islam – where there are special times for making DUA (Tahajud), special times for Good deeds (certain days of Dhul Hijjah), other special times (such as Laylatul Qadr).

So from this point, i wish to elaborate that some Ulama who are at their optimum when doing research – are beneficial when doing so, whilst other Ulama may perhaps reach an optimum when doing DAWAH – hence are likewise beneficial in doing so.

And perhaps there are people who wish to increase the scale of Goods Deeds in their favour – by contributing in the best ways they possibly can.

Now, this may not be THE best way for everybody – but its certainly a way we can try and help.

And that is: to translate and transcribe the lectures.

Ya Skeikh, if you have transcripts or outlines of each of your lectures and if you would be willing to provide such in a downloadable format – that would INSHA’ALLAH be very useful for the Muslim Ummah.

This is especially the case, if we wish to translate: certain Hadith; quotes from scholars; your personal opinions; etc. As some of these may not necessarily be available in the language desired to be translated into.

And so that we may have a solid reference, of where each piece of Islamic DALEEL evidential material comes from. So that we may try and avoid INSHA’ALLAH having blind faith in any Islamic leader/scholar in the Muslim Ummah – and rather be those who support AL-HAQQ. Also having a clear AQEEDAH – bright and beautiful IMAN on evidence, will INSHA’ALLAH benefit us in STRENGTH!

May ALLAH Increase our efficiency for His Sake!

    Eagerly waiting your response.

    In the meantime:

    1. What we need are brothers and sisters proficient in the English language – and the other respective language, be it Tamil, German, Zulu, even Arabic potentially.

    2. After this, brothers and sisters who frequent this site or are simply otherwise interested, should make a list of which lectures – they would like to transcribe or help to transcribe. We should have this list and make it known to others, so as to prevent the repetition and wastage of Muslim effort – our valuable resource.

    4. Perhaps this list, may form another part of this website – as if its able to be constantly edited the better.

    5. The tools you potentially would need for transcribing:
    a) a mp3 player
    b) fluency of the english language – and some of its colloquial sayings.
    c) an eye for detail
    d) to list all the exact minutes and seconds where the lecture is spoken in Arabic – so as for easier reference – and potential cut/copy/paste work into a new lecture in a different language.
    e) patience and perseverance.
    f) Trust in ALLAH

    5. The tools you potentially would need for translating:
    a) potentially a translation software – but do not rely completely on these (as bad mistakes may occur).
    b) Muslim brothers/sisters who are competent enough in both languages to undertake the responsibility of translating these and presenting them to the entire Ummah.
    c) to have someone who practices what they preach – with a certain degree of STRENGTH – IMAN – Passing of Trials – complete with a Blessed voice and AKHLAQ that can mimic the translation of the lecture close to the original lecture. And with whatever else is importantly needed.

INSHA’ALLAH there are many more points on this topic to be elaborated – but this should be enough of a stimulus for brothers/sisters of this Ummah!

Currently, there i know of attempt to translate some works into chinese. So we all should get moving fast!

The much needed areas to start off with in my opinion (and this may vary from country to country – depending of the amount of Islam present). Initially is transciption of:

1.The Hereafter Series (first lecture transcription almost done. Intended to be posted and then open for people to edit, comment on accuracy – and to fill in the source of Hadiths – VERY IMPORTANT!).
    2. The Lives of the Prophets (AS).
    3. To complete transcription of the Life of Muhammad (SAW).
    4. Life and Times of Abu Bakr (RA).
    5. Life and Times of Umar (RA).
    6. 25 Promises to the Believers.
    7. Revivers of the Message.
    etc etc etc etc

Whatever you can get your hands on – and you’re interested in it -

THEN LET US POOL OUR RESOURCES TOGETHER – WORK FOR THE SAKE OF THE DEEN OF ALLAH – AND UNITE FROM HERE TO BEYOND (INSHA’ALLAH)!!!

Finally, but most importantly, now that the objectives have been stated – to request the permission of the Sheikh for doing so.

And I would like to remind brothers and sisters to allow much editing – BY CLEARLY STATING ANY EFFORT UPLOADED IS ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF EDITING – so we may do our best to warn others from being mislead by our potential errors.

    Chapter 61 (Translation of Meanings):
    10. O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.
    11. That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but
    know!
    12. (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers
flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of Adn Eternity (Adn (Edn) Paradise), that is indeed the great success.
    13. And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allah (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad SAW) to the believers.
    14. O you who believe! Be you helpers (in the Cause) of Allah as said Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), to AlHawareeoon (the disciples): “Who are my helpers (in the Cause) of Allah?”
AlHawareeeen (the disciples) said: “We are Allahs helpers” (i.e. we will strive in His Cause!). Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the uppermost.

    Chapter 4 (Translation of Meanings):
    74. Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the Cause of Allah, and whoso fights in the Cause of Allah, and is killed or gets victory, We shall bestow on him a great reward.
    75. And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak, illtreated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for
us from You one who will help.”
    76. Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of
Taghoot (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitan (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitan (Satan).

    (3:110 – Translation of Meaning).
You (true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al- Maroof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the
Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqoon (disobedient to Allah – and rebellious against Allahs Command).

    (24:55 – Translation of Meanings).
Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen
for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

    (5:54 – Translation of meanings).
O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern
towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All Sufficient for His creatures needs, All Knower.

    Sheikh Anwar,

Why dont you give the transcripts please?

When you give a lecture do you write in down first?

If so then please, Muslims need those papers.

Mp3’s are painful. It required lots of time to download. And when internet speed is less its even more painful.

    LABBAYK

    Wake up and stay awake
    -O Heart- and say Labbayk
    Say: Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk
Say it with every seed and grain
Say it with every drop of rain
Say it and say it again and again
Say it with the stars in the skies
Say it with the light in your eyes
Say: Labbayk O Lord, O Wise!
Say it and let your tears,
Let them translate your hidden fears—
    For only Allah hears
All that are on earth and in the skies.
    Say Labbayk to Him Alone
    Whose boundless mercy shone
Even in the heart of him
    Who once worshipped a stone,
But then heard Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk
And his heart shook as with earthquake
    And said: Yes, I made a mistake;
But now I say Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk!

    ASK

Ask the birds in the sky
Who taught them how to fly.
Ask the bees buzzing in the breeze
Why the flowers aren’t so high.
Ask the camels on the dunes
And the men singing them tunes
    How they knew their way.
Ask the land on which you stand
    How it became green
    After it’d been in decay.
Ask every bone, ask every stone.
Ask every hill, ask every rill.
Ask everything moving or standing still.
    Ask everything within your sight
And ask the light in your eyes:
“Who made you all?” and none will stall,
    They’ll all say: Allah!

    By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS

“In a government of law, the existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by example. Crime is contagious.

If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for the law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.”

    – Justice Louis Brandeis

Is Pakistan responsible for the Mumbai attack in India? No.

Is India’s repression of its Muslim minority responsible? No.

Is the United States government responsible? Yes.

The attack on Mumbai required radicalized Muslims. Radicalized Muslims resulted from the US overthrowing the elected government in Iran and imposed the Shah; from the US stationing troops in Saudi Arabia; from the US invading and attempting to occupy Afghanistan and Iraq, bombing weddings, funerals, and children’s soccer games; from the US violating international and US law by torturing its Muslim victims; from the US enlisting Pakistan in its war against the Taliban; from the US violating Pakistan’s sovereignty by conducting military operations on Pakistani territory, killing Pakistani civilians; from the US government supporting a half century of Israeli ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their lands, towns and villages; from the assault of American culture on Muslim values; from the US purchasing the government of Egypt to act as its puppet; from US arrogance that America is the supreme arbiter of morality.

As Justice Brandeis said, crime is contagious. Government teaches by example, and America’s example is lawlessness. America’s brutal crimes against the Muslim world have invited every Muslim to become a law unto himself–a revolutionary. It is not terror that Washington confronts but revolution.

By illegal, uncivilized and undiplomatic behavior, the US has stirred Muslim peoples from their long slumber as serfs of Western colonial powers. Some Muslims have had all that they can take, and their fury drives them to rouse a billion of their fellows to throw off the yoke of foreign hegemony.

The arrogant incompetence of American governments brought this conflict to the American people and inflicted it upon the world. By destabilizing Pakistan, the US lost a puppet and created an opportunity for Muslim revolutionaries to exploit. By enraging India against Pakistan, the Mumbai attack has created new problems for Pakistan that will focus that government’s attention away from combating Taliban sanctuaries on Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan. If the US picks up the slack, it will have invaded yet another country and become trapped in a larger quagmire.

Having fomented terrorism, the American government now pretends to be the innocent victim, just as Israelis, having brought about terrorism by driving Palestinians from their homes and villages, pretend to be innocent victims.

Today European members of NATO, an outdated organization formed to defend Western Europe against Soviet invasion, are sacrificing the lives of their soldiers fighting the American Empire’s war in Afghanistan. If America continues to have its way, Europeans will soon be dying in Ukraine, Georgia, and Iran.

The American government, which preaches “freedom and democracy” has in the 21st century gone to great extremes to stamp out the US Constitution and the civil liberties that it guarantees. The US government has repudiated the Geneva Conventions and the prohibitions in US statutory law against torture. The US government has set aside habeas corpus, the ancient legal principle guaranteed by the US Constitution that prohibits governments from holding people in prisons without presenting charges. The US government has broken the laws of other nations by kidnapping foreign citizens and transporting them to other lands to be tortured.

These massive crimes have been justified in the name of the “war on terror.” In truth, America’s crimes foment revolution.

It was the US government that created the “war on terror,” which has been used to murder and dispossess millions of Iraqis and Afghans, to imprison US citizens as if they were medieval serfs, and to squander three trillion dollars for the sole purpose of enriching Halliburton and the military-security complex.

Investigative journalist John Pilger has shown that the so-called “moral superiority of the West” is a hoax designed to shield from view the self-seeking West’s crimes against humanity.

Obama promised change from this destructive behavior, but how does change arise when the most arrogant woman on earth is appointed Secretary of State and the rest of the new government is staffed with tried and true Likudniks and servants of the militar-security complex?

The change over which Obama will preside will have no American victories. The change will come from America as a failed state, from the dollar dethroned as reserve currency, from America repudiated by its allies and paid puppets, from massive unemployment for which there is no solution, from hyperinflation that produces anarchy.

The day might arrive when Washington is faced with revolution at home as well as abroad.

Gaza Israel’s Crime Against Humanity: UN

    IOL Staff

“Israeli civilian leaders and military commanders responsible for the Gaza siege should be indicted and prosecuted,” Falk said. (Google)

CAIRO — Israel’s policies against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip are tantamount to a “crime against humanity”, the United Nations’ human rights investigator in the occupied Palestinian territories insisted.
“An urgent effort should be made at the United Nations to implement the agreed norm of a responsibility to protect a civilian population being collectively punished by policies that amount to a Crime Against Humanity,” Richard Falk, the United Nation Human Rights Council’s special rapporteur on human rights in Palestinian territories, said in a statement on Tuesday, December 9.

Falk, a world-renowned Jewish-American professor of international law, denounced the Israeli siege on the impoverished strip as a violation of international law.

He also criticized Israel for rendering deaf ears to the international community pleas for an end to the collective punishment of Gaza population.

“Although many leaders have commented on the cruelty and unlawfulness of the Gaza blockade imposed by Israel, such a flurry of denunciations by normally cautious UN officials has not occurred on a global level since the heyday of South African apartheid,” he said.

“And still Israel maintains its Gaza siege in its full fury.”

The UN official said it is “mandatory” that the UN’s International Criminal Court investigate Israel’s policies in regard to the Palestinians.

“[The court would] determine whether the Israeli civilian leaders and military commanders responsible for the Gaza siege should be indicted and prosecuted for violations of international criminal law.”

Israel has sealed off Gaza, home to 1.6 million people, from all but limited humanitarian aid since Hamas seized power in June 2007.

Since November 9, Israel completely locked down all commercial crossings with the densely populated strip, allowing only urgently-needed aid to enter in short border openings.

Human Rights Watch has slammed Israel’s siege in Gaza as a violation of the law of war.

    Ninety-Nine

The statement came as the UN Human Rights Council adopted a list of 99 recommendations for Israel to improve its human rights record.

The 47-member-state Council adopted its list by consensus in a report on Tuesday at the end of a two-day review of Israel’s rights record.

The list called on Israel to end all forms of “cruel, inhuman and degrading” punishment.

It also urged Israel to end “physical and mental torture” inflicted on Arab prisoners in its detentions.

The report was extremely critical of Israel’s human rights record in the Palestinian territories and in particular the blockade on Gaza.

Another recommendation also called n Israel to issue a standing invitation to all UN rights investigators.

The report is a part of a new UNHRC mechanism, known as the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), under which the records of all UN member states are to be subjected to scrutiny every four years.

Israel is due to report to the UN council in March on how it will address the recommendations.

It’s not the first time Israel is rapped for its rights record especially in regard to Palestinians.

John Dugard, the former UNHRC special rapporteur, has branded Israeli actions in the occupied Palestinian territories as white South Africa’s apartheid system.

Last Sunday, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel said the state’s discrimination between Jewish settlers and Palestinians in the occupied West Bank was increasingly reminiscent of apartheid.

Last year, a 27-strong group of German bishops visiting occupied al-Quds compared the discriminatory treatment helpless Palestinians suffer under Israel’s stifling checkpoints and occupation to infamous Nazi tactics.
