Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has a requirement for the purchase of 2 each: Type 2 explosive storage magazines and cap boxes. The specifications for the storage magazines are as follows: 12' x 8' x 8' type 2 outdoor magazine that meets or exceeds all requirements of 27 CFR 55.208 (a). Specifically, the magazine must be bullet-resistant, fire-resistant, weather-resistant, theft-resistant, and ventilated. The exterior and doors are to be constructed of not less than 1/4-inch steel and lined with at least 3 inches of hardwood. Hinges and hasps are to be attached to doors either by welding, riveting, or bolting (nuts on inside of door), and must be installed so that they cannot be removed when the doors are closed and locked. Padlocks for doors must have at least five tumblers and a case-hardened shackle measuring at least 3/8 inch in diameter. Padlocks must be protected with no less than 1/4-inch steel hoods constructed so as to prevent sawing or lever action on the locks, hasps, or staples. Magazines must include an National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) ground kit. Specifications for the type 2 outdoor cap boxes are as follows: 30" x 30" x 30" type 2 outdoor cap box permanently mounted to magazine that meets or exceeds all requirements of 27 CFR 55.208(a). Specifically, the magazines must be bullet-resistant, fire-resistant, weather-resistant, theft-resistant, and ventilated. This procurement is a total small business set-aside and will be made using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5. RFQ requests may be faxed to: 202-927-8688. Awardee must complete an SF-3381, ACH Vendor/Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment Form. All interested parties must submit a written quote within 15 days of this publications. Quotes must include delivered price and product literature which list specifications. Award will be based on meeting the technical specifications listed above, on an All or None basis and price.
