In this photo series, up to 11 Secret Service agents guard Obama, facing crowds, hands usually held waist-to-chest-high, coats open, never smiling. Any hands laid on Obama are quickly removed. Agents close at hand are supplemented with others in the crowd and snipers overlooking (one shown at right below carrying two weapon cases and cartridges with other gear).
