HMG Indicts Former FRU Member

Allegations are that ex-FRU Philip Campbell Smith hacked the computer of ex-FRU Ian Hurst looking for information on Freddie Scappaticci, a/k/a Stakeknife, former IRA member accused of being an agent of MoD. Hacked material was allegedly supplied to The News of the World.

PARTICULARS OF OFFENCE

PHILIP CAMPBELL SMITH on or around the13th day of May 2009 had in his possession three rounds of live 9mm Parrabellum calibre ammunition, to which section 1 of the Firearms Act 1968 applies without holding a firearm certificate in force at that time.
