Just a small inclusion to what was mentioned. In the case of Rigi, when the plane took off from Dubai, HUMINT by Pakistan's ISI was provided to central command in Islamabad which was then shared through appropriate channel with Iranian counterparts. This is because Pakistani intelligence has a fair presence in GCC states and owing to the fact that the ISI had a crucial hand in Rigi's arrest.

Rigi and his party (Jundallah) were behind massive unrest and terrorism in Karachi. Even to this day, despite his death, his leftover followers joined other separatist organizations based in Balochistan and Sistan (Iran) to cause strife and distances between Iran and Pakistan. Some intelligence officials even add Rigi's old mates joined the Pakistani Taliban.

Iran must not forget the role ISI played in providing timely leads which led to Iran's subsequent actions later on.

Iran Report on Downed Sentinel Drone RQ-170

Lockhidmartin's RQ-170

What we knew before was IRGC had its hands on a CIA-operated Sentinel UAV doing recon ops near or inside iranian boarders. Speculations circulating around how it happened "technically". Many said some Russian or Chinese elements were involved while Iran officially announced its ELINT units landed the UAV since it was unlawfully operating deep inside Iran not close to Afghan borders with Iran. Unofficial releases claimed some in Washington pushed for an airborne attack to destroy the plane although eventually what we observed was Obama nicely asking Iran to give it back which was denied by Iranians immediately.

According to a native source, today Iran celebrates its intelligence apparatuses as a religious anniversary coming up, as new evidence surfaced:

The report sums up what the Iranian intelligence achieved last year and a serious cooperation between MOIS and Iranian armed forces to "hunt the monster" is accounted.

The report says MOIS has ground-level surveillance covering U.S military bases which resulted in "many things" including the arrest of Rigi, a leader of armed group attacking Iran based in Pakistan when he was flying from Dubai. The civilian plane was forcefully landed by Iran's airforce to arrest the individual.

Images later were aired by Iran state-run TV showing Rigi had associations with a U.S base inside Afghanistan taken by a team tailing Rigi on the ground.

Another interesting account is the story behind abduction and release of an Iranian diplomat in Pakistan named Atarzadeh. According to the report the Pakistan-based terror groups were circulating his locations using different teams and after 16 month's of surveillance the Iranian operatives located a destination and eliminated part of the terror group while impersonating them to be able to "grab" the diplomat along the way and take him back.
