Cuomo Gaza Show Tunnel

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was shown a tunnel allegedly built to attack Israel from Gaza. The tunnel shown in photos is considerably more sophisticated and commodious than most Gaza tunnels published. It is constructed of cast-in-place concrete, smooth-faced, crisply articulated with sleeves for conduits and stairs for access. These polished characteristics are not shown for other tunnels, which are smaller, constructed of rough precast concrete or stabilized soil and vertical access shafts. 

Why there would be stairs to the tunnel on the Israel side (Cuomo did not go to Gaza) is bewildering. Perhaps a convenient portal was constructed by Israel for showing to media and VIPs.

The commodious, smooth-faced tunnel with cast-in-place sleeve for conduit or tie-rod. A textured steel plate is behind Cuomo which appears to lead to a rougher tunnel.

In the background is a much smaller tunnel constructed of rough precast concrete. Exposed by digging and breaking through the tunnel vault. Cuomo did not enter this tunnel, which would have required entry on hands and knees.
