Log Files Internet Metadata Spying Series

The greatest spying machine ever invented, the Internet, relies on log files and other metadata for perfidy against users. Web site operators, shame.

Burgeoning types of logging for profit, cloaked by the few needed to run Internet. Now tech cash cow, like NSA.

Log file exploitation exceeds that of all search engines combined. Innumerable firms siphon, buy, steal, market them. Garden of Eden apples.

Less celebrated, exploitation of log files beats email, chat, OTR, SM for nabbing perps, stalking, extortion, spying, thieving, profiling.

Exploitation of log files does not originate with sysadmins, but sales. Hits are moneymakers, marketmakers, golden geese shit.

Terming log files as metadata could get attention, along with other incomsec metadata occluded by "privacy policy."

Critiques and proposals for log files would be most welcome for publication. Or if done elsewhere share links.

Sysadmins could invent means to avoid excessive exploitation. Save the Internet from thugs and spies in the process.

Best sysadmins openly upgrade user care i/l/o bad press, licensing, oversight demanded for crucial public roles. Log files=arms.

Users to control their log files. Log files anonymized. Sysadmins answerable to users not spying employers. Free the sysadmins.
