FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At Work Computers and Arc Second introduce PocketCAD PRO on rugged color Ranger handheld

Combination extends CAD capability into extreme environments

CORVALLIS, Oregon and DULLES, Virginia -- December 11, 2001 -- At Work Computers, a leading provider of ruggedized mobile computing solutions, and Arc Second, Inc., the leading provider of mobile CAD software solutions, today announced the availability of PocketCAD PRO 4.0 for the Ranger Series ruggedized handheld computers. This combination extends the capability to create, view and edit design drawings into harsh outdoor and industrial environments.

With PocketCAD on the Ranger, users can have fully functional CAD even in the most extreme conditions, said Arc Seconds president, Edward Barrientos. It has been our mission to extend CAD capabilities from the desktop into the field or onto the manufacturing floor. PocketCAD on the Ranger helps us meet that goal.

The Ranger 200C, from At Work Computers, is the first ultra-rugged-class handheld device to feature the same high-performance Reflective Color TFT display technology found in popular consumer-grade handheld devices, making it a perfect fit for Arc Seconds comprehensive mobile CAD application. PocketCAD Pro, which reads DWG, DXF and DGN files, is the only fully functional CAD software for Windows-powered mobile devices like the Ranger Series.

Our business is based on getting users closer to their data in outdoor and industrial environments, said Dennis York, division manager of At Work Computers. PocketCAD is an ideal choice for our users who work with CAD design data, because errors can be caught at the source and then verified and corrected before returning to the office.

PocketCAD is available through a network of dealers or it can be downloaded from http://www.pocketcad.com/. The Ranger Series handheld computers are sold through OEMs and VARs worldwide.
