16 London natural gas works located north of the Thames are shown (others
will be presented later).
These caged-elephantine structures which rise and fall with the volume of
natural gas they hold, are distributed throughout the city. Containing explosive
materials they are not customarily considered to be dangerous but are classified
as industrial hazards and may be targets of attack. None appear to
have security measures other than low fencing and occasional razor wire.
