IN GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA IS
MODERATE. CURRENTLY, THERE IS NO
KNOWN TERRORIST THREAT TO GUANTANAMO BAY.
THE POTENTIAL FOR TERRORIST TARGETING OF U.S. ASSETS IN GUANTANAMO BAY
INCREASES WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF DETAINEES.
HOWEVER, THERE IS NO INDICATION OF AN IMMINENT
TERRORIST ATTACK. THE
CRIMINAL THREAT IS ALSO LOW. PETTY
THEFT OF UNSECURED PERSONAL
PROPERTY OCCURS; HOWEVER, SERIOUS CRIMES
ARE EXTREMELY RARE.
GUANTANAMO BAY IS SECURE, AND ACCESS TO
BOTH THE BASE AND THE PIER IS
CONTROLLED. MARINE CORPS GUARDS PROVIDE
