BFIT exercises can be designed to include the following phases: 1) Planning and initial tasking; 2) a Command Post Exercise (CPX) in which the Enhanced Naval Warfare Gaming System (ENWGS) generates OTH-T GOLD reports to electronically drive JOTS installed on units deployed in PACFLT via the OTCIXS communication network. Introduces the current issues involved with the functions and management of the SEW system. Course topics are: 1) SEW disciplines, 2) functions of a SEW commander, and 3) offensive SEW. The class will be divided into several groups. Each group will be tasked with exploring a specific aspect of SEW and then leading class wide discussions. Each group will be responsible for a Class Discussion Guide. Project areas are: Operational Security/Deception; Surveillance; C4I; Counter-Surveillance; Counter C4I; Force Sensor Management; electronic Combat Management; Battle Space Management; and Information Management.

Eligibility: SS2001, SS3001, PH2511, PH2514, and MR/OC3520.

Objective: Identifies deception objectives and targets. Instruction in the development and employment of deception stories. Develop and monitor the execution of deception plans; execute limited, technical-based deception events; conduct deception related training; and supervise other unit execution of deception measures and events.

Eligibility: USMC personnel who are on orders to or currently assigned to a Corps/Division BAT-D element.
