It is a well documented fact that Rocco = Socrates Kokkalis.

Son of a left-wing Greek doctor who escaped to the East after World War II. His father is the first non-Soviet to receive the Lenin Award of Sciences. He studied engineering in East Germany along with his later partner G. Bafas (who was in the high management of the Greek PTT in the mid-80's) and current partner C. Dimitriades. His left hand is C. Tsoukalides from Tashkent, who is now the point man for Kokkalis's dirty work. 

In the early 70’s Kokkalis formed Integra SA, which was an agency for East German telecommunication equipment, later on (mid-70’s) and in order to obtain higher margins but also to justify local manufacturing he created INTRACOM. The first Intracom facility was on Vouliagmenis Blvd. The first “products” manufactured were power supply systems for the RFT switches he sold to OTE.

The original profit for INTEGRA in the early 70's from which Kokkalis drew bribery funds was 10% of the contract value for INTEGRA SA, 5% for the current governing party, 3% for the current opposition party and 2% always to the KKE (Communist Party).

The first contracts signed with the Greek Government and the PTT was under the military government in the early 70's for East German switching systems, PCM and line concentrators. His relationship with Nicos Farmakis was the key for access to the then extreme right-wing military government. Later (mid- to late-90's) the same representative, using a Panama Oil Company, tried to find US buyers for Kokkalis’s personal shares so Kokkalis could bail out.

Kokkalis tried to buy the ITT factory in Athens (mid-80's) but the US Embassy blocked this. The reason was that the ITT factory had offsets dealing with the 100 F16s that the Papandreou government had bought. Note that this contract was not handled through FMF funding but through commercial loan; the deal maker for this contract was Nicos Mourcogiannis, personal friend of Yannos Liberis (see below). The deal was handled through Bank of Crete. The guarrantee for this bank was based on 200 million USD in a numbered account in Merril Lynch, later believed to be connected with A. Papandreou. It is said that the buyers received a kickback of 2 million USD per plane (200 Million USD).

Kokkalis was involved in sales of weapons made by EVO (Greek Munitions Factory) to IRAQ, IRAN, NICARAGUA, and to the Far East, under the management of Vikendios Arsenis (brother of the Minister of Defense of Greece). These deals were also channeled via the Bank of Crete (under Koskotas management); the bank changed the final destination paperwork and handled the laundering of the funds to avoid paper trails. 

The word on the street is that Vardinogiannis changed from friend to sworn enemy of Kokkalis due to information Vardinogiannis found out linking STAZI to the alleged Nov. 17 missile attack against Vardinogiannis's car in the mid-80's. Knowing the relationship of Kokkalis and Stazi even then, Vardinogiannis directly linked Nov.17 to Kokkalis.

Kokkalis has ties with the Tamil Tigers through a Cypriot offshore company (money laundering via the Russian Lotto project -- see Kathimerini newspaper articles).

Kokkalis has in his employ Yannos Liberis (ex-National TV journalist posted in Washington). This person did Kokkalis's lobbying in the USA using contacts which he made while working for Greek radio and TV (ERT).

Kokkalis has tried on many occasions to get in bed with US corporations especially those with defense contracts. It is said that his first major breakthrough was when he delivered to the West (the US Embassy in Athens Greece was his contact point) the complete defense blueprints for the anti-missile umbrella over Moscow and the two Russian scientists who designed this. Once this was done Kokkalis "suddenly" was on the "friendly to the US" list and obtained inroads with US defense contractors.

In the mid-90’s it was reported that Kokkalis was using an employee from Oracle (Greece) to peddle nuclear weapons and material from the Former Soviet Union to the Middle East (most likely Iraq). Kokkalis's representative met with this person on several occasions in Belgium. The Oracle management is said to have been informed of the conduct of their employee and have since terminated his employment.  It is unknown where and what he is doing now, probably working for Intrasoft. I have heard that non-weapons grade plutonium and radium have been channeled in 1999 via this method from Yemen to points unknown via a connection Kokkalis or his representative had in Dubai with a relative of one of the tribal leaders.

Kokkalis in the past had as guest on his luxury boat amongst others Adnan Kashoggi. Recently Kokkalis has been involved with the sale of Patriot Missiles, F16 aircraft, AWACS and other US made arms to Greece. As part of these contracts the US manufactures have released to Intrasoft the unlocking codes to change the targetted threats and to be able to add Turkish threats -- a nation previously considered "NATO-friendly". Obviously this means he has the ability now to also remove from these systems the Russian threats should access to the US databases be achieved.

The above information is based on personal experience and knowledge which obviously can be given only anonymously but intended to give pointers on where and what to look for.
