Dear NCIX Colleague:
On Tuesday, April 9, 2002, the New York City Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security International (ASIS) will host its 12th Annual Seminar and Trade Show Program, "Security 2002," at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, located on 11th Avenue at 37th Street, New York City, New York.
This is one of the largest single-day events in the security industry with more than 3,000 industry professionals expected to attend and more than 200 exhibitors in the Convention Hall.
The Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive (NCIX), in conjunction with ASIS and the FBI, is cosponsoring a counterintelligence and security awareness seminar between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the on-site conference room. The seminar, being offered at no cost to attendees, is entitled:

Addressing New Threats and Meeting Current Challenges

A complementary copy of the NCIX "Insider Betrayal" video on economic espionage will be available for each seminar attendee.
Following the seminar program, the annual ASIS NYC Chapter PERSON OF THE YEAR Luncheon will take place in the Jacob Javits Center at 12:00 p.m. The luncheon fee is $75.00, which also includes the cost of the 4:00 p.m. cocktail reception.
The NCIX and FBI will have booths in the Convention Hall where Security 2002 attendees can visit and discuss specific material of interest to them with experts who will be on hand throughout the day. Exhibits will remain open all day with door prizes and raffles given throughout the afternoon hours. A cocktail hour will take place at 4:00 p.m., and all attendees are invited to participate.
