Cryptome spoke this evening with Sherman Austin's New York attorney, Susan Tipograph.

1. Sherman remains in New York and will probably not be transferred to California until Wednesday next week. He is housed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown Manhattan in a cell by himself.

2. A detention hearing was held yesterday and the magistrate judge ordered Sherman held without bail.

3. A hearing was held today on Sherman's extradition to California and the magistrate ordered that he be transferred.
